THE TERRITORY' S IDEAS FOR PLANNING

The Municipalities of the Area of the System have activated in the last three years a series of EU projects valid at the national (POR, Territorial Agreements) and at the EU (EQUAL, LEADE+) level.
What emerges here is a variegated texture of initiatives that is summed up in the table found in the
table by clicking here..

Inside the factory Considerations have to be made on this distribution are multiple. First of all, there is the necessity to underline the strong dynamism of the area, which is able to activate various projects (46 projects in total) in order to improves not merely the economic structure of the system but also to guarantee a better quality of life for their own inhabitants.

What is also very striking is the distribution pro capita of the funding which has been granted:

from 75 Euro granted to the Municipality of Altamura (counting the lowest value) to more than 3.000 € granted to the municipality of Poggiorsini (counting the highest value). It is very curious to notice how the smallest municipality of the area (Poggiorsini) is better funded in relative terms, while the biggest, the municipality of Altamura show the lowest index.

Labourers at work Amongst the main motivation of this flow, there is the necessity to underline that, while Altamura represents a strong industrial reality a the apex of its internal development, Poggiorsini is still attempting to emerge from its rural almost residual reality aiming at an handcraft economic structure with a more modern characterisation without renouncing to the natural richness which possesses.

The other Municipalities count values as between 130 and 700 € pro capita, while the average of the area counts on a flattering value amounting of 350 €.
The situation is shown in the
table by clicking here..

Labourers at work Apart from the ongoing projects mentioned so far, all the municipalities of the Area are involved in the planning of other projects that could either complete the existing ones or can open other ways to the development of the territory. In this case it is the POR Projects the main the financial aim of these projects and the Territorial Integrated Programs (TIP) and Sectorial Integrated Projects (SIP) that have recently approved by the Region of Puglia.

Moreover, at the EU Level, preferences are usually for EQUAL and LEADER PLUS projects, but also the INTERREG is starting to persuade the minds.
